Groove with guaranteed goosebumps
When Daria and the Groove Foundation play, it feels like a journey back in time: soul music full of longing, joie de vivre and groove. Inspired by the sound of the 60s and 70s, the Cologne band brings the real retro vibe back to the stage – honest, powerful and deeply danceable.
Driving basslines, high-energy horn riffs, funky keys, epic guitar solos and a moving, expressive voice merge into a sound that gets right under your skin.
Shaped by modern influences in the vein of Tom Misch and Vulfpeck, and jazz-funk touches in the style of Cory Henry, the band combines retro soul with a contemporary freshness. Founded in 2019 at the conservatoire in Arnhem, the band is now based in Cologne. They played their very first show as the opening act for Sir Tom Jones, followed by an appearance at Rock am Ring in 2023. Available as a quintet or septet – for the full retro experience, we recommend the line-up with horns.
Daria and the Groove Foundation for your event.
